Thanks.... I have a few question in that IDL routine

I dont understand the following two lines. Can you please explain why
we are using this?

x = FINDGEN(16*16) MOD 16 + 276.
y = LINDGEN(16*16) / 16 + 254.



I undertand that we are creating a floating point array and long
integer array. But why are we doing so?
