Any experience out there accessing WSDL- webservices from IDL?

http://daac.ornl.gov/cgi-bin/MODIS/GLBVIZ_1_Glb_subset/MODIS _webservice.wsdl

I'm cheking XML implementations in IDL to see if I have to develop
some sort of classes to extract data from webservices like the one
above (MODIS data).
