Folks,

Many thanks for so many things. This has been the
very best community I have ever had the privilege
of associating with for a very long time. It's
possible I'll be back. I don't know.

And thanks for so many great suggestions for books
to read on my trip. As a result of carrying many
of your suggestions with me, I've decided on the trail
name BookLover. It will make me smile every time I take
that damn pack off my back and introduce myself.
Plus, it's totally retro.

I'll won't be blogging in real-time, but I will be
hitting the trail with a whole crowd of Pacific
Crest Trail thru-hikers who are reaching Oregon
at the same time I am. If I manage to tell enough
Coyote stories someone is sure to mention me in
a blog entry:

I'll let you know in a month or so if I survived. :-)

Adios!

David

P.S. Let's just say even if you can't be young again,
it's still possible to feel like a young man every
once in a while. :-)
