Hi,
I have a Linux machine on which the IDL 8 workbench crashes when I
call up Windows -> Preferences or when I click the down-arrow next to
"IDL current directory" in the console view. The crash message reads"

#
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007fe3846b3294, pid=25954,

IDL code itself seems to execute fine and also the command line
version is working without problem. The Linux version as per /proc/
version is:

Linux version 2.6.32.13-0.5-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version
4.3.4 [gcc-4_3-branch revision 152973] (SUSE Linux) ) #1 SMP

I have been working this with tech support but it seems they are
running out of ideas. So I was wondering if anyone in the community
had similar problem on SUSE Linux and if there is an easy fix for this
issue.

Haje
