Now that I think about it, $15K is about what
IDL costs in Europe. It must have been a lot more.
Probably $25K for the special license 10 years ago.
I'd guess in the neighborhood of $50K today, and
you have to come up the cash for every new
version of IDL!

P.S. Let's just say, I probably wouldn't get the new
IDL 8 version. :-)
