IDL 8.0 plot lat/lon data into map [message #74452]

I would like to plot point data on a map created by IDL8.

lon = 16
lat = 48
value = 100

mapobj=map('Cylindrical Equal Area',DIMENSION=[1024,768])

???

I didn't find something similar to plots, which I was using in IDL7

map_set, ...
plots, lon, lat, value
