I'm running a script that invokes an IDL code that is embedded in a large, publicly-available, application (NASA's SeaDASv6.4). On occasion that code seems to erroneously generate a message (using PRINT) that affects the processing in such a way that output of my script (it skips an input data point). The SeaDAS code does not seem to set an error condition, but just generates a message that appears on the console as the script executes. Is there some way that I can 'monitor' the console output so if the message appears I can respond to it from within my own code? I've tried searching the forum for a similar problem without success and have not heard back from the SeaDAS developers. Thanks.
