I am hoping someone can help me; understand why I am not able to get plots from IDL. I keep getting
"% Incorrect number of arguments.
% Execution halted at: $MAIN$ "

IDL> cd, 'C:\Users\slevental\Documents\IDL_coursefiles'
IDL> file1 = filepath('chirp.dat', subdir=['examples', 'data'])
IDL> chirp= read_binary(file1, data_dims=512, data_type=1)
IDL> help, (chirp)
CHIRP BYTE = Array[512]
IDL> file2= file_which('marbells.dat')
% Compiled module: FILE_WHICH.
IDL> restore, file2
IDL> help, elev
ELEV INT = Array[350, 450]
IDL> p = plot(chirp)
% Compiled module: COLORBAR__DEFINE.
% Incorrect number of arguments.
% Execution halted at: $MAIN$

Theoretically, I should be getting
% Compiled module: FILE_WHICH.
and the graphic widow should appear...
