Folks,
I have been experimenting lately with using Cisco WebEx Meetings to
conduct small one-on-one training sessions with interested IDL users.
This is going quite well, and I would like to see if it is possible to
expand To this end, I am running an experiment in which I will hold a
one hour demo/training/conversation with interested IDL users in how to
install and use the Coyote Graphics System in IDL. This will be held on
Thursday, March 13th, at 9:30 AM, Mountain Daylight Time (Denver,
Colorado, USA time). This session is completely free.
The way this works is that WebEx will install a plug-in on your browser
that will allow us to communicate with one another. I am told this plug-
in will not interfere with firewalls, etc. (One of the things I am
hoping this experiment tests, obviously.) WebEx does require a recent
browser and has a few other requirements. You can learn what they are
here:

The session is aimed primarily at people who would like some help
installing the Coyote Library and using the Library most efficiently.
The session will be interactive, so participants will be free to ask
specific questions. I will try to answer these questions in real time.
In this respect, it will be like taking an IDL class from me. You will
be able to see what I am typing as I type. My plan is to record this
session so it can be viewed by everyone in the future.
If you or someone you know is interested, please contact me. I will add
the e-mail address to my list and make sure you get an invitation to the
meeting. I presume everyone will be able to find my e-mail address. :-)
Cheers,
David
