How to cut part of the axis in a plot in IDL [message #90033]

I have a plot in IDL but there is a long blank space between two groups of data. I would like to make a plot a suppress the section in blank by cutting that part of the x-axis.

Does anyone know how I could cut that bank section of the plot?.
