I am trying to create a tool that allows drawing of multi-slice CT data.

XROI is rather nice but only allows 2D slices. I need to draw Volume-of-Interest (VOI) through multiple slices.

Rather than re-inventing the wheel, I'd like to ask whether someone has done something similar before. Ideally, I'd like a tool to allow:
1. the definition of (multiple) VOIs,
2. show the statistical information of a selected VOI, (e.g. mean values)
2. saving and restoring them.
