Hi, Guys

I am kind of new to 3D volume data visualization. I am running into trouble of execute xvolume command on an array of 1024x1024x512. It hangs there for like 5~10sec and then quit quietly. I have 512GB ram and 4GB vram which I thick should be enough this simple dataset. It runs perfectly with 512x512x256. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks for any input!

BTW Are there any good tutorials or idl tricks on volume data rendering/processing?

Thanks,
bp
