Will IDL on a disk image run on a new computer? [message #93720]

Hello,

My computer is on its last legs and my boss wants me to install the disk image of it on a new computer. IDL is installed on the linux half of a linux/windows dual boot. Does anyone have any experience with this sot of thing? Any ideas on where to read up on it? Will it work at all, that is, will IDL run?
