Amazing; I was just going to report this problem again and ask for help, and
here your message was. I had reported the problem of machar() hanging my NT
machine previously but nobody responded. Since at the time I didn't really
need machar() for anything crucial I just forgot about it; but now I need to use
curevefit so it's come up again. Anyway just wanted to add my thanks for your
posting this and register my hope that RSI fixes this in the next release.
