Hello,

When I run IDL and have a lot of memory in use, I can not execute SPAWN at the
command lawn or within a procedure. The error message is,

% SPAWN: Error managing child process.
Resource temporarily unavailable

Freeing memory by redefining variables or .rnew does not remove the error. Only
exitting IDL and restarting fixes it. What can be done apart closing IDL and
restarting to correct this problem.
