Positioning TLB widgets??? [message #12386] Fri, 31 July 1998 00:00

I would like to pop-up a top-level base widget that is
automatically positioned on the screen just like DIALOG widgets like
widget_message().

Normally, widgets I make appear as outlines waiting to be
positioned by the user. I have tried setting the XOFFSET and YOFFSET
properties of the top-level base. There is mention of setting some
Xdefaults resources, but the DIALOG widgets behave fine in the
current environment, therefore so should mine (?). How do the DIALOG
widgets tell the window manager to automatically place them at
a particular position?

Thanks for any help.

P.S. This is for Unix under Xwindows.
