Hi everybody,

one of these days I promise to ask an intelligent question.
Until then:

Why is the first one of the following two statements perfectly
fine while the second one gives arithmetic errors and no map
whatsoever?

1:

map_set, 37, -73, /mercator, /hires, /grid, limit = [34, -77, 40,-71],$
label = 2

2:

map_set, 37, -73, /mercator, /hires, /grid, limit = [35, -75, 39, -71],$
label = 2

What are the limitations of the mercator projections?

P.S.: BTW, the performance of the two statements is independent of the
lat,0 and long,0 (e.g., the 37 and -73 respectively in my example).
