Hi,

I wondered if any body knows if it is possible to use IDL to play a
vector as a sound. This can be done in Matlab using <SOUND(Y, FS)>,
where Y is the vector containing values in the range -1<Y<+1, and FS is
the sample rate.

It would be great to have similar functionality in IDL, so if anyone has

a routine already, please let me know. I could even code it if I knew
where to start!

Any help would be very much appreciated. If you can help, please reply
to mm@fs1.co.umist.ac.uk.nospam removing the .nospam extension.
