So when do bug fixes get incorporated into a new version of IDL?

I just downloaded the version for Win 95/98 (demo mode), and it
was dated October 30, 1998... 'not sure I want that version.

On this newsgroup alone there have been numerous cries for
bug fixes to be made.

When does this next occur?
