Is anybody aware of a routine that may allow me to open an external .DBF
file (I mean NO IDL database with .dbh and .dbx files). ENVI allows me
to create a database, but not to read one. Modules like DBOPEN and DBEXT
found in IDL libraries only seem to work on IDL databases (need the
additional files).

Thanks a real lot, Tom
