If everyone will forgive me for posting a small commercial message......
This is an "official" announcement of the availability of a new IDL
programming book.
The title is "Application Development with IDL - Combining Analytical Methods
with Widget Programming".
This book can be ordered from my web page at www.rlkling.com. The table of
contents can be downloaded and also a very nice forward that David Fanning
wrote for me.
I also want to take this chance to let everyone know that I am willing (and
set up) to host a shareware site for IDL code. I know that we have talked
about doing something like this for a long time, and it is time that we did
it. I really believe that the incentive of a (most likely small) financial
reward will spur some of you to turn your personal applications into ones
that can be used by all. If you are interested check out the details at my
