Hi All:

I could use somepointers .....I developed a 2-D heat xfer and fluid flow
model...I have realworld data from which to tune it. I have approximately
20 tuning params and will probably make good guesses about 10 of them...the
other ten will have ranges. I would like to use simulated annealing or
adaptive SA to tune the model (for some specific reasons...). IDL doesnt
have a SA optimizer and I really didnt want to write one...although I have
written some source already...
Anyway, question is: Anybody know of or have a SA optimization routine
that I could fit into IDL? Any help is apprecated.

I looked at what optimizations are currently available in IDL, and will try
some of them, but for my application I think SA is a better fit....
