write_pict.pro is a routine in the userlib directory that can write
images to a file in the Macintosh pict format. It works for us on our
UNIX systems, but we also need it for our VMS systems, for which it
doesn't work. I suspect it is because of the opposite ordering of
bytes on VMS compared to UNIX when you write integers to a file. I
don't have time to fix this myself, but I was hoping that someone
might already have the necessary routine.

Thanks in advance,
Chris
