Linking FORTRAN programs into IDL

QUESTION: Can someone give me some help linking my FORTRAN programs into IDL?

ANSWER: Absolutely! But...not me. :-(

Stein Vidar Hagfors Haugan (steinhh@ulrik.uio.no), the 1999 Coyote's Howl Award winner for his outstanding contributions to the IDL newsgroup, has recently (April 99) taken up the challange thrown down by Liam Gumley (liamg@ssec.wisc.edu) to build an automatic tool to create DLMs (dynamically loadable modules). Using this tool, it is now easier than ever before to add your FORTRAN programs directly into IDL as IDL system routines!

You can find this wonderful Perl script and all the details on Stein Vidar's web page.
